Central Salt and Marine Research Institute, Bhavnagar. A research institution under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR, India). The institute has complete technology for the extraction of zeolites from red mud. Please follow the link.

Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. A university with expertise on utilisation of red mud for constructional material, boundry wall, and rough infrastructure pre fab blocks. Building Materials & Technology Promotion Council. The council was set up by the former Ministry of Urban Development (now Ministry of Urban Employment & Poverty Alleviation), Govt. of India, as an apex level inter-ministerial institution for promotion, development and large scale dissemination of appropriate, cost-effective, eco-friendly and energy-efficient building materials and technologies.
